Faroe Islands
Located halfway between the Norwegian Sea and the North Atlantic Ocean, the Faroe Islands are a self-governing island chain that operates under the sovereignty of the Kingdom of Denmark. Fish account for 97% of the country’s total exports, for good reason – stable water temperatures, separated farming areas, and strong ocean currents make this an ideal location to farm Atlantic salmon.
The deep, pure waters of Norway’s fjords produce some of the finest fish in the world. In addition to stable water temperatures and separated farming areas, strong ocean currents contribute to a low mortality farming cycle, incredibly high smolt yields, and the lowest feed conversion ratio among farmed proteins.
The waters in southern Chile are crystalline, and provide a nourishing habitat for fish to grow and thrive under the watchful eye of the region’s farmers. To make the most of these beautiful conditions, we’ve formed deliberate partnerships with Chilean suppliers that focus on consistency, sustainability, and responsible growth – as a result, we can proudly offer a range of high quality products including whole fish, fillets, and portions into the U.S. market.
Our Scottish salmon make the most of the strong tidal currents of the North Sea and North Atlantic Ocean that crash together and pass through their pens. This cool, fast-moving water helps to maintain a clean seabed and also promotes vigorous growth characterized by high fat content and exceptional musculature.
